I now can say that my art is on display! We hung my first pieces in Johnson City, TN, at the new Mi Si Bella Salon. Hanging my art in a location such as this benefits both of us. I get exposure, and possibly a sale or two, and Krista gets free art for her walls. Mi Si Bella's web site is not yet up, but if you are a Facebooker, check her fan page out here. Below are some photos of the installation. Michael and Quinn came along. Truth be known, Michael did all of the manual labor.

I now am listing the photographs on Etsy. I will be adding a new one daily, today I added "What Lies Beneath" both the print and the wood block wall hanging. I just love all of these photos hung together... the grouping looks so very cool! <--Okay, surely I could have come up with a better adjective than that, oh well. Quinn likes the photos...

In Memory of Jake Logue

My son, Seth, lost a dear friend last night. You may read the article in our local paper here: http://www.timesnews.net/article.php?id=9016239 Seth and Jake were not only friends, but teammates, coworkers in their first jobs together, and classmates. Last night, when I met Seth at home (I didn't go to the football game because I had to work), we sat around listening to him tell stories of Jake. I didn't know Jake like I know some of Seth's other friends. Seth and Jake became really close this summer with work and football. The "Jake" in this picture is the Jake I wish I could have known. I would have like to have seen the Coach Carter impression. The Jake in the stories Seth told last night. I know Jake holds a dear place in everyone's heart and will be greatly missed. And although I can't see it now, I know there is a reason for this tragedy. A purpose...

Treasury Catch Up

I am in a Treasury, have a Treasury West, and missed posting about a Treasury (I had) that is now expired. I am officially a treasury-holic. It is beginning to interfere with my daily activities/responsibilities. Michael came home last night after being away for the day in NC, and I never moved from the computer. The main Treasury was about to become open, so I was glued to the screen. Poor guy. Left as I slept that morning. Got ignored when he came home. This is my blogged apology... Sorry, baby! You are an AMAZING husband! I couldn't ask for more. I am so happy that most days we are together living our art, and that you no longer have to trek back and forth to NC! I love you!

Oh, and by the way, I missed the main Treasury opening... My "old" list wasn't expired, and you can only have one list at a time. I tried to delete it, but not soon enough, apparently. Oh well... Tomorrow...

Repeat Customer!

I am so very excited to announce our first real Etsy repeat customer! We've had others purchase multiple boards at a time. We even had someone buy a board online, and then commission Michael to custom make four more (before the first even arrived)! But this was our first "buy one" who came back some time later and "bought another." It was a pleasant surprise to find her order in our inbox this morning! Ashely bought this air dried walnut cutting board first:

We are still at Snowshoe as I type this. We are meeting some new friends Erin and Chuck Ball for lunch. See his work at http://www.infinitrekarts.com/ We had a poor show here at the Food, Wine and Jazz Festival. It makes me rethink the "one show a month" idea that Michael and I had. With expenses such as the show fee, our drive up, and our stay, our income from the show has us breaking even, barely... Well, not really if you consider our time invested in preparation and being away from the studio/gallery. I am trying to be positive and look at it as a free family weekend getaway.

This show, after the Blue Plum in July, reinforces the thought that when mixing food, drink, and music, the outcome for the artist (financially) is poor. Are people attending these festivals really looking to spend their money on art? That question alone makes me think that we need to focus on ART Festivals. Those shows that focus on art. We need to work on getting into juried shows next year. We have some promising shows for the fall. Creeping toward the holiday season and gift buying, sales can only get better, right?

We are going to Snowshoe, WV for the weekend. Actually, this post is scheduled for Saturday, where we will be showing Michael's cutting boards at their Food, Wine & Jazz Festival! We are looking to the weekend, as it is a getaway of sorts. Quinn and Aaron will be going with us. I look forward to some tranquil time in the mountains and sun by the pool. I will post some of my own pictures when we get back. Hope you are having a good weekend too!

Seth is going into his Senior year of high school. I am so very proud of him. These photos were posted by Samantha Smith on Facebook. That is where I snatched them, so that I could brag. I am so looking forward to football season this year! Go Rebels! Seth will be playing as a receiver and corner (at least :I think: those are the positions. I love to watch my boys play sports, I don't claim to be a sports fan... just a fan of my boys, tee, hee).

This was Michael's first Fun Fest. This turned out to be his favorite event. I must admit, I love it too. Quinn was amazed, until they started the fire blowing.... Okay, forgive me, I don't know the "proper" term in ballooning. It was loud, and Quinn did NOT like it. Even today, he saw these pictures on my computer, and he held his ears. Poor little guy. I am so excited! I snagged my first REAL Treasury today! I had a Treasury West the other day, and I think I am now addicted. I waited online for quite some time today to get into the main Treasury. Here is a picture. Click on it and you will be taken to the Treasury on Etsy--for the next three days only. Then it expires. It is full of my new "tweeps" (friends on twitter).

I must, just MUST have one of these pendants. The red is my favorite! Being a wanna be geek, I just think these repurposed circuit boards are too cool! Red circuitry with shiny surface detail was hand cut and ground by Amanda from a recycled circuit board. It rests in a round bezel and is covered in clear resin. Amanda takes custom orders and can turn the pendant into a key chain.

We also use recycled packaging whenever possible. We reuse bubble wrap, boxes, etc. The finish Michael uses is 100% natural, food safe, exotic nut oil by Master's Blend called Preserve(TM). We give away our wood shavings/sawdust to those who garden or find other uses for it. We implement eco-friendly practices whenever possible, at home and at the studio/gallery.

This is the first item that caught my eye. Biking with Baby

I don't even own a bike yet, but I am already shopping for baby seats. I can't go riding without Quinn, so I have to consider having him in tow before buying a bike myself. I am considering the iBert, Topeak's BabySeat, and the type my sister has WeeRide Kangaroo. All three are mounted differently. The iBert is mounted essentially to the handlebar. From what I can tell (see and read), it will turn when you turn the handlebar. The web site has a video you can watch. What I like about it is the height, Quinn could see really well. The BabySeat by Topeak is a rear-mounted seat. Again, from what I have read, there is complaints of the rear-mounted seats making your bike harder to balance. I don't know that I like the thought of Quinn behind me where I can't see him. Lastly, the Kangaroo has my favorite mount. It mounts to the center bar of your bike, therefore, it will not turn with you as the iBert does. Some complaints of this mount, though, is that your knees hit the carrier while pedaling. I am not tall, short actually, and I don't know that this will be a problem for me. What I do not like is the height of the seat (it sits low) and the padded thing-y that seems to impeed the view for the child. I wonder if it is a mandatory part of installation. Why is it there anyway? If the child is secure in the harness, I wouldn't think you would need to protect them from the handlebars. Crazy. Makes me wonder if Michael could BUILD me something... lol.

Treasury Feature

Treasury features are so much fun! When in a treasury, we have the chance at a front page feature, we meet other fantastic Etsians, and we see an increase in our shop traffice, increasing the possibility of a sale! Mistflower Photo featured us in a treasury of lovely reds today. She featured my crochet necklace which is on clearance. The favorite print of mine in Mistflower Photo's shop is this Daisy Tunnel, because dasies are my favorite flower.

Sneak Peek at the Loft

We have been in almost two weeks now. It is so hard to believe. It has been a whirlwind, a flurry of activity, a ... okay, no more cliches. Let me just say that, running the gallery, filling orders from our Etsy shop, Michael getting studio time, taking care of Quinn, visiting daycares/preschools, working my "nurse" job full time, etc., has made it VERY difficult to get settled. We have continuously had workers in the loft as well, after we moved in, for problems with the master shower, both with the tile and the plumbing, building custom storage doors, painting, hanging mirrors, moving towel rods, hanging glass in the second bathroom, cleaning windows, etc., and that has left the loft a mess--a dusty, dirty MESS! We had the "final" walk-through today, more issues were addressed, so I don't think that the dusty work-boot-prints across the hardwood floors are going anywhere... BUT, Urban Synergy has been fantastic to work with! John, Angela, Stephen, and John Z., have done their absolute best to pull it all together (oops, another cliche) and make things just right for us. It is amazing... They are amazing. The loft is amazing. Obviously, thoughwe will be relieved when things are truly FINISHED throughout the building, so we can have a clean, relaxing home, a block away from the studio/gallery, and not be woke up every morning at 0700 to construction noise. I will show you one photo. A sneak peek at the kitchen, still a work in progress (as we still are missing our island), and mind you, you can't see the boxes on the floor or paintings leaning against the wall due to selective cropping of the photo. By the way, photography hanging above sink is by a fellow Etsian, Everyday Eros.

Summer Celebrations

Today marks the beginning of Fun Fest in Kingsport, TN. I actually took a week's vacation from my "nurse" job to spend Fun Fest with my/our boys. Although we will still have the gallery to run, we can enjoy some of the events of Fun Fest. Last weekend, we celebrated the Fourth of July in Downtown Kingsport. Below are some photos. Don't you just LOVE Summer? We do!

Michael got a ring sling for me (and Quinn) at Christmas. I love it! I kick myself for not using it more often! Fake Flowers

I share my distain for fake flowers with a friend and co-worker, Cheryl. Let me explain. I don't like fake, or better yet imitation flowers that are trying to look real, but are obviously FAKE. One of my biggest pet peeves, people who put FAKE flowers OUTDOORS!!! I mean, gimme a break! Plant some REAL flowers! Sorry for the rant...

Obviously, I do like REAL flowers, fresh flowers. I belong to my local florist's Friday Flower Club, getting a bouquet of fresh cut flowers weekly. I like dried flowers as well. I try to dry my fresh flowers. I like unique fake flowers, not immitation flowers, but fake flowers that aren't trying to look real. Maybe some pictures will help me clarify. What is Wormy Maple?

Tuesday night, we attended the annual picnic at Maple Tree Glass Studio for our chapter of TACA (Tennessee Association of Craft Artists). Upon overhearing conversation among Michael and some of the other woodworkers, I was confused. I always understood "wormy" maple to be maple wood with markings left from some worm... I knew it was also sometimes called ambrosia maple. What was curious to me, is that last night I found out that is isn't worms at all that cause these markings, it is the ambrosia beetle. ( <--Warning: I don't like pictures of bugs, if you don't either, don't check this Wikipedia link)

Worm holes left from a beetle??? Even more confused, I began searching the web this morning. I found this from a site www.justthedoors.com "wormy maple aka ambrosia maple, this comes from regular soft maple trees that have been infested by the ambrosia beetle. The small beetle bores a network of tunnels and short galleries called cradles. A fungus is responsible for the black and gray streaks that accompany each tunnel and adjacent wood. The streaks add a unique look to this hardwood without affecting its structural integrity. This wood is mostly found in the central part of Eastern United States."

Still scouring the web to find more information, lastly, I found this: http://www.appalachianwood.org/species/species.htm which says NOTHING about ambrosia maple, but I like how it broke up the native Appalachian hardwoods, and it is a very informative site! Don't you just love that shop name? I met Jennifer on Etsy (of course). I fell in love with this listing and had to have it! I know, I know, I have been cursing my big purse, and then get another big purse. I just hate how the keys somehow sink to the bottom of the bag and you can then never find them. Anyway, Jennifer was up for a trade, so I made her a hat. I love re-purposed items. The tie bag is so colorful. Warm colors are on this side with cool colors on the opposite side. I love trading! It enables me to get what I need or want and gets my creations out there. A kind of advertising in a way. I love creating! Crochet for me is so relaxing and rewarding. As Michael and the boys can tell you, I am often in my own little world crocheting and counting stitches. It is so very surreal to think that someone else is wearing something I made. Wow. It's a Surprise

Tomorrow is not only Father's Day, but it is the Summer Solstice. What that means, is that it is also our anniversary! So, Happy Father's Day, baby... AND Happy Anniversary! I am taking Michael to some unknown place (unknown to him) for a night and two days together. We've never left Quinn like this, so it will be hard. But, it is also much needed for us, both of us personally and relationally. We need this time alone together. I can't wait! And it is KILLING Michael that he doesn't know what we are doing... Okay, Michael made the cutting boards, but I really like the photo I took of them. I listed three BRAND NEW cutting boards today on Etsy. We had two online sales yesterday. Yippee!!! I love living our art.

Now, back to the picture. The bottom board is a gorgeous curly maple chopping block. The board on top is a solid cherry chopping block. I was trying to capture the thickness and shaping of the board. I think I did pretty good.

Well, it's officially over. The Cardinals made it to the championship game. The Cardinals beat the Braves Thursday night, but because the Braves were undefeated, the Cardinals were going to have to beat them twice. The game was last night, and unfortunately Aaron and Jacob's team (the Cardinals) lost. Hey, second place isn't bad! Aaron and Jacob had a fun season, and both of them improved in their skills tremendously. I am so proud of them! Next year, Aaron is off to little league, and Jacob will play one more year in the pitching machine league. Here are some pictures:

I thought I'd take the time today to brag on some fellow Etsians. In our home, we have incorporated a new purchasing habit, and that is (if you are a returning reader, you probably already know) buying handmade, local, or at least made in the USA whenever possible. The items cost more, but I put a lot more thought into what I buy, which probably causes me to spend less in the long run. While walking through a store, I used to be such an impulsive buyer. I am sure you can relate. I would go to Wal-Mart to "get a few things" and walk out spending two or three times more than I planned to. With our new habit, I have had the most difficult time buying clothing. But, I found these Etsians: Xenotees I bought Michael, you know, being a woodworker and all, the saw blade tee, while I got the star moss tee. I just purchased Aaron their names of animals shirt. The artist of these professionally screenprinted tees draws all of her designs, so it is original WEARABLE art. She also uses American Apparel to supply her base/blank tees and they are made in the USA (meaning sweatshop free!). For every shirt sold she donates $1 to Flat Iron Wildcats of Philadelphia. So take the time to check out Xenotees Etsy shop and blog! While you are at it, re-think your buying habits.

Countdown on Hold

Well, we are unsure of move in date. If you read our previous post, it was supposed to be tomorrow. We now are expecting later in the week, but since we have The Blue Plum festival Friday and Saturday, regardless, we can't begin moving in until Sunday.

These photos were taken during our last walk through on Saturday. This is taken from the front door into the open living space which includes dining, kitchen and living.

This is the corner of the kitchen, you can see the concrete countertops, large upper wall cabinets, refrigerator placement, and pantry. Can you believe above the pantry is the water heater? They do all that they can to maximize floor space.

The unfinished CONCRETE countertops. Are these not AWESOME? When finished or sealed, they will look wet. WOW! They are a muted orange, which will go GREAT with the orange pendant lights Michael let me pick out for the island area.

The master bedroom. I let Michael pick the wall color--green of course! As you can see, baseboards have yet to be placed. We are lacking LOTS of finishing touches.

Have you ever seen a rusted metal shower surround? This is for the master bath. It has a clear coat over purposely, chemically rusted metal. The shower will have two shower heads. I am thrilled about this feature!

Michael has been scrambling to get vanities done, moving them from studio to loft, and meeting up with the plumber. We are using substitute sinks until he can throw pots for the sinks. The sink for the master is a borrowed glass vessel sink--it is BEAUTIFUL! The sink for the boys' bathroom is a stainless steel bowl that we purchased at a kitchen specialty shop! I said I wasn't going to show the vanities until they were installed, but they look sooooo good! The vanity pictures were taken today in Michael's studio.

Master vanity with ambrosia maple top, unstained, just finished with a waterproof clear coat. Poplar base stained dark and sanded edges. Michael will (eventually) make some wooden boxes for use as bins to organize the shelves... Maybe one for him, one for me, and bottom shelf with folded towels?

The boys' vanity made out of poplar. Top was stained with a mahogany color stain with a contrasting honey oak for the base. Since we have four boys, we have four spaces for hand towels to hang, four shelves to the right for their personal stuff... Again, I am hoping Michael can make wooden bins for them. As far as the bottom open area, we are considering a metal door of some kind to coordinate with the metal rods that separate hand towels. The top shelf will be used for folded towels.

Date Pushed Back

Our loft move in date is now June 2nd. So we have 6 more days. I don't believe I have shown you the artist's rendering of the facade. Let me show you the "before" photo, so you can get the maximum "wow!" effect of the after photo.

Are you WOWED??? I was. I can see slow, steady progress on the outside. Windows are only in on the third floor. We will actually be moving in before the building is completely finished. The third floor will be done, the second will follow 2-4 weeks after, then the first floor will be finished last. It should be interesting! I can't wait! We got to pick ceiling fan blade shades (dark vs. light) and our pendant lighting over the kitchen island. We have bathroom faucets purchased. Michael is helping the plumber install the master vanity today. I will share pictures, likely right before we move in. Again credit to Urban Synergy. :)

Etsy Feature Wednesday

I know, I know, I said I would post more Racks by the Tracks pictures today. But I keep forgeting my camera at home, therefore, the photos have still not been downloaded to my laptop. Since I have no photos to share, I'd like to share with you some recent Etsy finds...

I have previously posted about metime, a fellow Etsian who is local and makes handmade soaps, including laundry soap. At the time, I had yet to try the laundry soap. I had requests to post again when I had actually used it. I have finished a bag (32 loads) and am meeting Margaret today to buy more! I just LOVE it! It cleans well, smells good, is affordable, and all the while, I am supporting LOCAL and HANDMADE!!! You can't beat that! So, I highly recommend this laundry soap. I do find that my clothing is softer if I can catch the washer in the rinse cycle and add a bit of white vinegar. I am washing Quinn's clothes in it as well, with no sensitivities noted.

I have been a 4x repeat customer of spoolofplenty. Now, I can't show you what I have bought, because it is for the loft. I want to do a series of blog posts about the finished loft when the time comes... But, in the meantime, please check out Angela's shop. She is amazing! If Quinn wasn't already attached to his blanket, I would buy him one of her rag quilt "loveys." Angela is SUPER to work with on custom orders. Fabulous customer communication and service!

Another Etsian who I have purchased from is Cherry Creek Charms. Unfortunately, I did not get to see the pieces in person, but I have heard from my sister that my niece Emma just loved her soccer charm and necklace that I bought her for her birthday. You can see the sports charms in Heather's shop here. Take the time to browse around there is a lot to see! Her leaf imprint charms are my favorite!

Loft Update -- The Countdown Begins

10 days to go until planned move in! It is hard to keep track of the progress because things are moving so quickly. Floors finished. Or at least here is a picture of them with one coat on. I was told the second coat will be cured in the morning. And below are pictures of the master vanity Michael is building and the loft with the windows in and base cabinets in the kitchen installed. I can't wait for more of the "pretty" stuff to get done. This is when it gets EXCITING!

Racks by the Tracks

I am at the gallery today, and I have left my camera at home. Here I said that I would post pics on Monday, and it is Tuesday! Needless to say, I have yet to download my photos, but I have two to share with you that my friend Kim took. You can see little Quinn wandering in the background in the photo of me and Michael. The smaller photo below is me and Kim.

We had a great time at Racks by the Tracks! Sales weren't so great, though. I have read in the Etsy Forums that music festivals tend not to be great selling events for artisans/crafters. People go to festivals to eat, drink, listen to music... Enjoy hanging out, if you will, not spending money. Like I said, though, we had a great time. Kingsport has definitely changed (for the better). It is all about community. We are now looking forward to Twighlight Alive and Bluegrass on Broad. Our next festival is the Blue Plum in downtown Johnson City. I am hoping that we will do better as far as sales. A fellow Etsian who is a potter, said she sold out last year. That would be a nice problem to have! Tomorrow, I will post a loft update. Thursday more Racks by the Tracks photos!

Loft Progress

Wow! Things are moving fast, now, and we are told that inspection will be May 25th! Michael is working on our bathroom vanities as I type. Yesterday morning we walked over to Urban Synergy to look at paint samples. I then went to the loft and snapped these pictures. The lighting is terrible, so forgive me. Windows are going in! Yay!

Gallery Opening!!!

Cindy Saadeh Fine Art is having a gallery opening reception this Friday, May 8th. I can't believe the day is almost here! In actuality, we've been open for almost 3 weeks (3 weeks on Saturday to be exact). Michael continues to work feverishly in his studio and is constantly being pulled away to do this or that (sorry, baby) in the gallery, so, needless to say, there hasn't been much creating... But he has made some cheese knives and cutting boards. We will be at the Racks by the Tracks in Downtown Kingsport next weekend. I have been creating these cool crochet cozies to sell and Michael will have cutting boards, and I am hoping some cool wooden coasters as well. The only other events on the calendar is Blue Plum Festival and then Kingsport's Summer Concert Series (Twilight Alive on Thursdays and Bluegrass on Broad on Fridays). I'm sure the latter will keep us VERY busy. Well, he is at it again... Not that he ever really stopped. It is just with this creation in particular, he kept asking, "Will you put this on Etsy?" And look at those big brown eyes and cute little freckles on his nose! How could I say no to this crocheting cutie?! It is for sale in the gallery as well, until it finds a new home. Not only is Cindy the building and current gallery owner, she is also a fellow Etsian! I thought I would feature her work on our blog today. Here is a little bit about Cindy from her web site http://www.cindysaadeh.com/ take a moment to visit her web site and see additional works by her.

Saadeh is a native of Winston-Salem, NC. She had the fortunate opportunity to study with artist Richard Palomino in Montpellier, France for 2 ½ years. Palomino is self-taught in the Dutch Master technique. He made all materials by hand, including grinding and mixing pigments, stretching canvas with rabbit skin glue, and making mediums out of copal and amber. She learned the technique of painting with “glassis”, or thin layers of paint to achieve depth in the painting. During this period she painted mostly still lifes set up with one light source as the Masters did. These early works were extremely realistic. Upon her return to the US, she moved to Charleston, SC for it’s rich abundance of subjects to paint, from historical architecture to beautiful marshes. After painting for many years, she has developed a softer, less realistic and more interpretive style. She currently resides in Kingsport, Tennessee with her husband and son and continues to search for the light in the southern sky.

He has been in his studio for a week now (since we got our occupancy certificate, aka OC) getting his wood equipment cleaned up and running, organizing his tools, and even managing to design and cut some mahogany knives! He is even working on displays for my crochet chokers. I love my baby! He is such a hard worker! I have been leaving the gallery at 2, to go to my job as a nurse, and it is then he takes over the gallery and entertains Quinn. Considering the actual hours he is been in his wood shop/art studio, it is AMAZING the work he has gotten done! He took these pictures:

This week, I learned the CORRECT way to write a press release. I followed step by step instructions on http://advertising.about.com/od/pressreleases/ss/prlayout.htm. I then submitted my press release to two sites:

I received a Google Alert from http://www.your-story.org/ the next day, but I have yet to see any results from openpr. Another thing I have learned along the lines of FREE advertising. Other merchants are a great resource. We have opened in Downtown Kingsport. Meeting other downtown merchants has been most beneficial, and they truly share in our excitement! The shop across the street The Barefoot Chameleon has been sending shoppers our way all week. Thanks Gwenn!

New Product Feature FRIDAY!

Last weekend, I crocheted, and crocheted, and, well, you get the picture. I made several chokers, each in a different color. I also have designed ANOTHER crochet piece, but you'll have to wait for a later post debuting it. Anyway, back to the chokers. They are fun to make and definitely fun to wear! You can dress them up or down. They are a simple, handmade, piece of art. Most of them are mercerized cotton with a few exceptions. Check them out!

Well, I've taken a lot of pictures in the last 24 hours... Over 300 in fact! We are re-vamping or "Spring cleaning" our Etsy shop. So, here is a product pic I was very happy with. It is of a cherry cutting board Michael made. I also played with it a bit in Photoshop and made it black and white. I just love the contrast of the wood and brick.

Artists Cindy Saadeh and Michael Ripper open studios on Commerce Street

Kingsport, TN, April 21, 2009

She is excited about bringing more fine art to the area and providing opportunities for interactive learning through painting classes.

Ripper recently moved to the Tri-Cities from Avery County, NC. He has a formal education in the arts with a BFA in wood design and a BFA in ceramics, both from East Carolina University. Michael has always found an amazing beauty in nature, especially right here in the heart of the Blue Ridge. This is where most of his inspiration comes from. With his woodwork, in particular, Michael designs and arranges the grain of every species of wood so the viewer can see the real beauty and uniqueness of each piece. Whenever possible, Michael uses native Appalachian hardwood (Cherry, Maple, Walnut, and Poplar). Some of the wood is lumber that has been cleaned up from the many wind storms and floods. By using this wood and other recycled wood, he is helping to clean up our beautiful mountains and prevent forest fires. Through his art, Michael wants to share with other people the beauty that he sees, in just one very small piece of these glorious Appalachian Mountains. Michael, along with his wife Talina, their small son and her three sons, are thrilled about moving into their downtown loft and living their art in downtown Kingsport.

Perfect for Mother's Day!

This is an original piece by Talina. Crochet with a 2.25mm hook and a red 100% mercerized cotton yarn. It is meant to be snug fitting with some give. Measures 13 1/2" including the clasp, 11 3/4" without. The "clasp" is actually a crochet circle that is pulled through a crochet loop.

No pattern is used, designed by Talina (me). I can do this choker in any size or color, just send me a convo!

Recent Purchase from a Local Etsy Seller

I purchased some handmade soap on clearance from Metime, but what caught my eye initially, and I bought it too... Was handmade laundry soap. Now, I have yet to use the laundry soap, so I cannot give an honest review, but the bath soap... WOW! I just love it. It seems to last longer than other handmade soaps I've purchased. And the scent, it is DELICIOUS!!! It was pumpkin pie, on clearance, I guess due to the seasonal scent, but I don't mind at all. It is fabulous with a great lather. I just had to tell you all about it! Metime (Margaret) is a local Etsian from a local street team (Tri-Cities/Northeast TN/Southwest VA) I have joined. Check out her Etsy shop!
